My Bio

Hassana Blackwell is a public accounting professional with over 27 years of experience in providing accounting and tax services. Before becoming a freelance CPA, Hassana began her career with “big four” accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. She provided tax consulting and return preparation to large corporations, partnerships, and various types of nonprofit entities. She spent 9 years with PwC and was promoted to Tax Manager within the Washington National Tax Services practice.

 

Hassana has also been groomed by a local Baltimore firm where she focused on providing accounting & tax return services to small corporations, LLCs, and sole proprietors across many industries.

She has a strong ability to present financial information in a way that is understandable and to bring calmness to a  topic that can often create anxiety. She believes that having a great connection between your accounting and tax service providers is crucial for businesses to gain the greatest insights of their overall financial position.

Outside of accounting and taxes, Hassana enjoys living a healthy & active lifestyle and is a sports mom.  Freelancing has provided her a more flexible work schedule allowing more time with her husband and two teenagers.
